The electrical authority of Upper Egypt intended to provide the electric power plant in Al Walidiah with a housing colony for its workers and engineers. The project includes three types of apartment buildings, a shopping center, and mosque, social club, nursing school, primary school and a small hotel for visitors.
The project is self-sufficient in amenities, infrastructure and facilities and it is composed of 60 apartment buildings each includes 5 stories, containing 10 apartments.
